PLASTIC RECYCLE PROCESS

Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Products should only be recycled if they cannot be reduced or reused.

COLLECTION

There are several methods for collecting recyclables, including curbside collection, drop-off centers, and deposit

SORTING

Sorting entails grouping plastics into their respective types sorting is alsodone by color,thickness,and usage.

SHREDDING

Shredding which is basically breaking down the sorted and washed plastics into smaller-sized pieces.

WASHING

Washing is the process of removing all the impurities that may impede the following processes. Here, product labels, adhesives, and food residue are removed.

DRYING

Drying improves processing consistency by removing moisture from the pellet prior to processing and preheating the material to predetermined temperature.

EXTRUSION

Extrusion is the process of melting down the plastic and forcing this through an extruder. The plastic is cut as it comes out of the extruder to form pellets.

RAW PRODUCTS

Once the material has been sorted it will be transferred to a plastic reprocessor for the next stage.

FINAL PRODUCTS

This is the final stage of plastic recycling.After they become Granules, they are transformed to take a new shape to make a new product.
